It All Started With a Funeral

"When Matt had to go to his uncle's funeral at the beginning of this summer," says James M. Lynch, co-creator of the site, "He spent a lot of time looking online for a quote for the eulogy."

"I was frustrated!" continues Matt Mansfield, the other half of the team. "It was hard tracking down a quote that fit my uncle. Every quote site had the same tired quotes; it should have been easier to find what I needed."

When he returned from the funeral, Mansfield discussed his frustration with Lynch and, out of that conversation, good-quotes-now.com was born.

Not Just another Quote Site

Determined to offer something different than the other quote sites, Mansfield and Lynch worked hard to find quotes that were both original and came from a broad variety of sources.

"We wanted quotes that were not just original," says Mansfield. "We also wanted quotes from individuals who may not be as well known as others, but are still very worthy of being quoted."

In addition to the text quotes they compiled, the team scoured the Web for quote-related resources and products.

"We wanted more than just a text quote site," says Lynch, "We also wanted to entertain and inform our visitors."

The end result? Each topic page contains a collection of free entertaining and educational videos pertaining to the topic. Also listed are additional resources, culled from Amazon and the many e-Books that are available on the separate topics.
